Description
As an Economist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the data, evidence, and insights function within the organization. Your responsibilities will include designing analytical frameworks, dashboards, and evaluations to assess enterprise and ecosystem outcomes. By generating insights, you will contribute to adaptive program management, donor reporting, and policy advocacy. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain quantitative and qualitative analytical frameworks to monitor enterprise and ecosystem outcomes effectively. - Design survey instruments, sampling frameworks, and data collection protocols to gather relevant information. - Collaborate with the data team to create and manage interactive dashboards for program monitoring. - Maintain internal evaluation documentation and quantitative dashboards, identifying gaps and challenges for continuous improvement. - Lead the analysis of program data using tools such as R, Stata, or Python, and produce insight briefs and technical reports. - Translate data findings into actionable recommendations for program managers and partners. - Generate policy-ready knowledge products like briefs, presentations, blogs, and conference papers. - Support surveys and evaluations, engage with entrepreneurs and stakeholders directly, and ensure data quality during fieldwork. - Offer data-driven insights for enterprise support services and build the capacity of field teams in data collection and dashboard usage. Qualifications & Experience: - Postgraduate degree in Economics, Development Economics, or a related field. - 5-8 years of experience in applied economic analysis with strong quantitative analysis and data visualization skills. - Proficiency in survey design, econometric methods, and mixed-methods research. - Demonstrated ability to create knowledge products for funders, policymakers, and practitioners. - Fieldwork experience in rural or low-income settings with a willingness to travel extensively. - Sensitivity to gender, caste, and social equity issues, and the ability to engage respectfully with diverse communities.,
