Location: India Work Time Zone: US Eastern Role: Cybersecurity Consultant IT Managed Services Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Consultant to design, implement, and manage security solutions for our Managed Services Provider (MSP) business . This role is focused on securing small and mid-market businesses , ensuring compliance, and mitigating cybersecurity risks across network security, endpoint protection, identity & access management (IAM), compliance, and incident response . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with security frameworks, MSP security tools, and a deep understanding of managed security services . Key Responsibilities Security Solution Design & Implementation Assess client environments and design cybersecurity solutions tailored to small and mid-market businesses. Implement and configure firewalls, endpoint security, email security, IAM, SIEM, and MDR/XDR solutions . Develop and enforce security best practices across on-prem, hybrid, and cloud environments (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud). Security Operations & Incident Response Monitor and respond to security incidents, providing rapid threat detection, containment, and remediation . Implement SIEM/SOC capabilities for proactive threat hunting and real-time monitoring. Develop incident response plans and conduct tabletop exercises for clients. Compliance & Risk Management Ensure client compliance with regulatory standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, and CMMC . Conduct security risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing . Guide clients on Zero Trust frameworks, security awareness training, and risk mitigation strategies . Pre-Sales & Customer Advisory Work with sales and solution architects to develop cybersecurity proposals and present security solutions to clients. Conduct security workshops, technical assessments, and executive briefings for customers. Stay updated on MSP security product offerings (e.g., Cisco Umbrella, Fortinet, Palo Alto, SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, Veeam, Datto, Barracuda). Required Qualifications & Skills 5+ years of cybersecurity experience , preferably in an MSP or MSSP serving SMB and mid-market clients. Strong expertise in firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, IAM, SIEM, and cloud security . Experience with incident response, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management . Knowledge of SOC/SIEM tools (Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, Elastic Security, etc.). Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards . Security certifications preferred (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, CCSP, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Security certifications). Strong client communication and presentation skills, with experience in security consulting and pre-sales support . Preferred Qualifications Experience with MDR/XDR solutions and managed SOC services. Familiarity with RMM/PSA tools used in MSPs (e.g., ConnectWise, N-able, Datto RMM). Hands-on experience with Zero Trust implementations .
