Role Overview: We are looking for a skilled Cutlist Maker to join our production team. This role involves creating precise cutting instructions for various materials used in interior projects. The ideal candidate will work closely with designers, architects, and production teams to ensure efficient material usage, accuracy, and minimal waste . Key Responsibilities: Interpret Design Plans: Analyze blueprints, design drawings, and specifications to determine material requirements. Create Cutlists: Develop accurate cutlists specifying dimensions, quantities, and material types for cabinets, furniture, and modular components . Optimize Material Usage: Plan cuts strategically to reduce waste and optimize production costs . Coordinate with Production Teams: Work closely with factory staff to ensure proper execution of cutlists. Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Keep track of new materials, technologies, and best practices to enhance efficiency. Required Skills and Qualifications: Technical Expertise: Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar) and other relevant tools. Attention to Detail: Accuracy in measurements, calculations, and documentation . Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot material cutting and optimization challenges. Communication Skills: Ability to coordinate effectively with designers, architects, and factory teams . Material Knowledge: Familiarity with wood, laminates, hardware, and other interior materials . Experience: Prior experience in a cutlist-making role or interior production environment is preferred. Additional Qualifications (Preferred): Experience in Interior Production: A background in manufacturing furniture, modular units, or custom interiors . Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes: Understanding of CNC cutting, edge banding, and other production techniques . Project Management Skills: Ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines .
