Cut List Specialist

Key Responsibilities 1. Cutlist Preparation • Generate accurate cutlists from AutoCAD / SketchUp / 3D design files. • Use cutlist and BOM generation software such as: • CutList Plus • Ardis Optimizer • OptiCut • Cutting Optimization Pro • Cabinet Vision (optional) • PolyBoard (optional) • Prepare panel list, edge-banding details, drilling details, and hardware list. 2. Sheet Optimization • Perform material optimization using: • Ardis • OptiCut • CutList Plus • Cutting Optimization Pro • Reduce sheet wastage, optimize board yield, and ensure accurate sheet mapping. 3. CNC Labeling & Data Preparation • Generate labeling and part codes using: • Ardis Labeling • OptiCut Label Manager • CNC-compatible CSV/Barcode/QR Label Generators • Provide panel orientation, grain direction, and machining details. 4. Quality Control & Verification • Cross-check cutlists against design drawings using: • AutoCAD • SketchUp • PDF Mark-up tools • Validate accuracy of parts during production. • Ensure correct material, finish, thickness, and hardware matching. 5. Coordination & Documentation • Coordinate with designers, production team, CNC operators, and store department. • Maintain digital documentation using: • MS Excel • Google Sheets • ERP software (if applicable: Odoo, ERPNext, Fico, etc.) Required Software Skills Primary Tools • CutList Plus (Gold/Platinum) Ardis Cutting Optimizer • OptiCut • Cutting Optimization Pro Design File Understanding • AutoCAD • SketchUp • (Optional) Cabinet Vision, PolyBoard, TopSolid Wood CNC & Labeling • Ardis Labeling Module • OptiCut Label Manager • Barcode/QR generation tools • CNC nesting file export knowledge (DXF/CSV) Documentation • MS Excel • Google Sheets • Basic ERP systems Preferred Qualifications • Diploma/Degree in Interior Design, Furniture Technology, Architecture, or Mechanical Drafting. • 2–5 years of experience in modular furniture or interior production. • Familiarity with production processes and industry standards. Preferred Experience • 2–3 years in modular furniture / panel processing industry. • Experience with CNC routers, edgebanders, and woodworking processes.
