JOB DESCRIPTION Curriculum Technologist Intern (Space Science & Astronomy) Position - Curriculum Technologist Intern - Space Science & Astronomy Reporting to (Primary)Curriculum Head Parallel reporting Chief Executive Officer Responsible for Design educational materials such Digital contents (Videos & Presentations), Lesson plans, Text books and all other forms of educational contents with hands-on activities that clearly communicate Space science and relevant emerging technology to different student age groups 6 18.Technical skills Strong Understanding of Space Science: In-depth knowledge of topics such as the solar system, stars, galaxies, constellations, space exploration and astrophysics. Educational Technology Tools: Proficiency in using tools like simulations, planetarium software (e.g., Stellarium), space education apps, and interactive- learning platforms (e.g., NASA Eyes, Universe Sandbox). Hands-on Activity Design: Experience with integrating educational tools (e.g., telescopes, 3D models related to space science, or VR experiences) into learning programs. Robotics and Coding (Optional but Preferred): Familiarity with basic robotics, Arduino and space-related coding programs for STEM-based activities. Curriculum Design Software: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Classroom and learning management systems (LMS) to design, organize and present materials. Data Analysis & Assessment: Ability to design and interpret learning assessments, collect feedback and adjust curriculum based on data-driven insights. Familiarity with hands-on educational tools and activities (e.g., planetariums, telescopes, educational apps Understanding of pedagogy and learning theories in STEM education Experience working in an educational or science center environment is advantageous. Responsibilities (include but not limited to) Curriculum Development: Design comprehensive, age-appropriate space and astronomy curricula for children ages 6-18. Develop learning materials, worksheets, and hands-on activities tailored to each age group. Ensure curriculum aligns with international standards in STEM education. Create pre-reading and interactive activities to foster critical thinking, problem-solving and curiosity about space science. Workshops and Trainings: Conduct engaging workshops, demonstrations, and hands-on activities for students in schools and educational centers. Provide teacher training to equip educators with the knowledge and tools to implement space-related lessons effectively. Design and lead interactive learning sessions at the Lab of Future and partner institutions. Implementation and Collaboration: Coordinate with schools, teachers, and educational centers to implement and adapt the curriculum in different learning environments. Offer ongoing support to educators through training and feedback sessions. Collaborate with the centers team to organize space-themed events and learning activities. Assessment and Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve the curriculum based on student outcomes, teacher feedback and new technological advancements. Keep the curriculum updated with the latest trends in robotics, IoT, and embedded systems to ensure students are learning cutting-edge technologies.
