Culinary Associate

Role Overview: As a Food and Beverage Preparer at The Westin Pune Koregaon Park, your main responsibility will be to prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food. You will be expected to follow recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines while preparing and cooking food. Operating various kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers will be part of your daily tasks. Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring food quality, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area, and ensuring compliance with safety and security policies. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare ingredients for cooking by portioning, chopping, and storing food - Follow recipes, quality standards, presentation guidelines, and food preparation checklist - Operate kitchen equipment including ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers - Monitor food quality and test for doneness - Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area by washing and disinfecting surfaces and equipment - Ensure compliance with company, safety, and security policies and procedures - Serve food in proper portions onto appropriate receptacles - Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure food safety - Support team members and maintain positive working relationships - Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds Qualifications Required: - Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent - Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience (Note: No supervisory experience, license, or certification is required for this position) Company Details: At Westin, the brand is dedicated to empowering guests to enhance their well-being while traveling.
