Project Finance Underwriter Location: Mumbai / Bengaluru / Chennai We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Finance Underwriter to join our client's team. This role will primarily focus on underwriting transactions in emerging sectors such as Electric Vehicles, Warehousing, Solid Waste, Energy Efficiency, Water, Logistics, Healthcare, CGD, and Data Centres. Key Responsibilities: Underwriting and assessing structured finance credit, promoter funding, and acquisition finance transactions. Preparing credit appraisal notes, in-principle notes, and presentations. Collaborating with business, legal, and risk teams for transaction execution, structuring, and term sheet preparation. Conducting financial analysis, building financial models, and tracking key operating parameters in infrastructure sectors. Keeping up with sector developments and maintaining an up-to-date knowledge base. Drafting term sheets and identifying key drivers, risks, and issues in transactions. Presenting transactions to senior management and relevant committees for approval. Required Skills & Qualifications: 5 - 10 years of experience in credit/risk/business roles at financial institutions, banks, NBFCs, or credit rating agencies. Strong expertise in financial analysis, financial modeling (MS Excel), and structuring transactions. In-depth knowledge of sectors such as infrastructure, energy, healthcare, and logistics. Proficiency in preparing concise, comprehensive credit appraisal notes. CA / MBA / CFA or equivalent qualification. Desired Attributes: Strong communication and soft skills. Analytical mindset with a research-oriented approach. Team player with a high level of empathy and strong work ethics.
