Job opening at CRAD by Govind (Kollam) Positions: Junior Architects · Interns Location: Asramam, Asramam Nagar, Kollam CRAD by Govind is a design studio focused on Climate–Context Responsive Architecture —buildings shaped by site, climate, users, and performance, not by trends or templates. Every project is approached from the ground up, driven by logic, microclimate, orientation, material behaviour, and the realities of Kerala’s tropical conditions. We’re expanding our team with people who think critically, question assumptions, and take ownership of what they produce. What You’ll Do Junior Architects Develop concepts rooted in site analysis, climate logic, and user behavior. Produce architectural drawings, details, and documentation with precision. Coordinate with consultants, fabricators, and site teams. Participate in client meetings and present design intent clearly. Troubleshoot design–execution conflicts instead of passing them around. Interns Assist in design research, model-making, drawings, and site visits. Learn to apply climate- and context-based reasoning in real projects. Contribute actively instead of waiting for “assigned tasks" Who Will Fit Here People who understand that architecture is context-driven problem-solving, not Pinterest boards. Individuals who are disciplined, proactive, and detail-focused. Those who can back their ideas with logic—climate data, site constraints, user needs, material behavior. People willing to work on real architecture, not superficial styling. Useful Skills (Not Mandatory) Understanding of passive cooling, orientation strategies, and spatial efficiency. Experience with Kerala’s residential construction ecosystem. Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, and site detailing.
