Counselling Psychologist Responsibilities and Duties:

● Providing information on mental health conditions, treatment options, and other topics to help patients

make informed decisions about their care.

● ​​Providing one-on-one counselling sessions to clients with a range of issues including marital problems,

stress management, work-related stress, family conflict and other issues.

● Conducting interviews with clients to determine their suitability for treatment or refer them to other

professionals if needed.

● Helping clients identify their goals and develop strategies for achieving them.

● Monitor client progress and adjust their treatment plan as needed.

● Writing assessments and reports to monitor client progress.

● Conducting group therapy sessions that address a variety of topics such as parenting skills, anger

management and stress management.

● Utilizing various psychological techniques; selects appropriate treatment approach and plans

frequency, intensity, and duration of individual, group, and family therapies.

● Documents therapy in accordance with policies and procedures regarding medical records; implements

and adheres to policies which ensure patient confidentiality.

● Provides crisis intervention in situations requiring immediate psychological treatment.

● Understanding of Video or Tele consultation is Plus.

● Online therapy and session experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Academic Qualification:

● Graduate/ Postgraduate -B. A, B.Sc., M.A./M.Sc. In Counselling Psychology.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

● Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Counselling Psychology, with extensive internship experience in

psychology from a recognized university.

● Extensive knowledge of child development, emotional and behavioural disorders, and evidence-based

treatments for children.

● Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex psychological concepts to children

and their families in an understandable way.

● Empathy, patience, and a strong desire to help children and families in need.

● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

● Excellent communication and written skills

● Good interpersonal skills

● Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques.

● Ability to evaluate clients’ needs and create a custom treatment plan

● Ability to empathize with clients

● Ability to observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress.

● Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information.

● Should be comfortable in taking online sessions

● Ability to maintain emotional stability to cope with human suffering, emergencies, and other stresses.

● Follow a strict professional code of ethics to ensure the safety and well-being of client

● Skill in preparing and maintaining patient records.

What we are looking for? 

● At one plus years of Counselling Psychologist Experience is must.

● Strong competency and knowledge of clinical implementation of evidence-based

practices such as Trauma informed therapies, CBT, MBCT, DBT etc. 

● Should have a strong desire and the ambition to integrate evidence-based clinical practices with latest

technologies that will improve the quality-of-care 5X for patients.

● Self-driven with an entrepreneurial bent and can-do attitude.

● Ability to manage and navigate ambiguity and uncertainty acting as a leader.
