Primary Skill:Azure Admin DevOps, Secondary Skill:Docker/ Kubernetes, Powershell Cloud Engineer Azure Cloud Operations Engineer Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Operations Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security. This role involves collaboration with various teams to support and enhance our cloud-based solutions and services. Key Responsibilities:Cloud Infrastructure Management:oDeploy, manage, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure and resources including IaaS, PaaS, VPC, VNet oMonitor system performance, availability, and security using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and other tools. oMonitor and assist in managing virtual machines, virtual networks, and storage solutions. oAssist with deployment and management of Azure App Services, Azure SQL Database, and other PaaS offerings. Automation and Optimization:oDevelop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and other tools to streamline cloud operations. oImplement Automation for patching, monitoring, backup, DR (ASR), Antivirus scanning Security and Compliance:oImplement and enforce security best practices and policies for cloud infrastructure. oConduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. oManage identity and access management using Azure Active Directory and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC). Incident and Problem Management:oRespond to and resolve cloud infrastructure incidents and issues to meet promised SLAs. oConduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence. oMaintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of incidents, changes, and configurations. Collaboration and Support:oWork closely with development, DevOps, and other IT teams to support cloud-based applications and services. oProvide guidance and training to team members on Azure best practices and operational procedures. oParticipate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical cloud operations. Continuous Improvement:oStay updated with the latest Azure features, services, and industry trends. oPropose and implement improvements to enhance the performance, scalability, and reliability of cloud infrastructure. Technical Skills:oProficiency in Azure services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Azure Networking, Azure functions and Azure Active Directory. oExperience with automation tools like PowerShell, Azure CLI, ARM templates, and terraform. oStrong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices. oFamiliarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights. Preferred Qualifications:Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified:Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or similar. Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes. Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar tools. Work Environment:This position may require occasional after-hours or weekend work to support critical operations. Normal working hours are 9*5 PST (Pacific Time Zone) time zone. Named Job Posting?
