Job Summary: The Corporate Raw Material Head is responsible for overseeing the procurement, management, and optimization of all raw materials, including cotton, viscose, modal, and polyester. This role ensures the efficient flow of materials from suppliers to production, maintaining quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery. Key Responsibilities: Procurement Management: Develop and implement procurement strategies for raw materials, ensuring a consistent supply of high-quality fibres. Supplier Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favourable terms and ensure reliable delivery schedules. Inventory Control: Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or excesses, optimizing storage and reducing costs. Quality Assurance: Ensure all raw materials meet the required quality standards and specifications through regular inspections and testing. Cost Management: Analyse and control costs associated with raw materials, seeking opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of procurement and inventory professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Market Analysis: Stay updated on market trends, price fluctuations, and new developments in Fiber technology to make informed procurement decisions. Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with industry regulations and company policies. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Textile Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. Experience: Minimum of 13-17 years of experience in raw material procurement, preferably in the textile industry, with a focus on Fibers like cotton, viscose, modal, and polyester. Skills: Strong negotiation and communication skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems. Leadership and team management capabilities. Knowledge of industry regulations and quality standards. Key Competencies: Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop long-term procurement strategies aligned with company goals. Attention to Detail: Meticulous in ensuring the quality and consistency of raw materials. Adaptability: Capable of adjusting strategies based on market changes and new information.
