RESPONSIBILITIES Marketing Develop and/or deliver a plan for significant aspects of a product, service or marketing area under guidance from senior colleagues. Leadership and Direction Communicate the actions needed to implement the functions strategy and business plan within the team; explain the relationship to the broader organizations mission, vision and values; motivate people to commit to these and to doing extraordinary things to achieve local business goals. Horizon Scanning Explore and develop a detailed understanding of external developments or emerging issues and contribute to the evaluation of their potential impact on, or usefulness to, the organization. Marketing Impact Assessment Support the collection of data and participate in reviews of marketing activities to identify opportunities for improvements. Marketing Campaign Development Coordinate activities of subcontractors and suppliers and act as their primary point of contact while working within an established contract to deliver successful advertising/promotion/other marketing campaigns. Brand Positioning Assist in achieving brand positioning and contribute ideas to brand plans. Product Management Monitor all aspects of a product life cycle, including long- and short-term development and marketing. Perform analyses to stay abreast of trends in the marketplace to ensure the products competitive position. Information and Business Advice Provide specialist advice on the interpretation and application of policies and procedures, resolving complex or contentious queries and issues and enabling others to take appropriate actions. Performance Management Develop and propose own performance objectives; take appropriate actions to ensure achievement of agreed objectives, using the organizations performance management systems to improve personal performance. OR Manage and report on team performance; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports or project / account team members and hold them accountable for achieving these, taking appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of team / personal objectives.
