Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Developer with hands-on experience in Kotlin and Java, along with strong expertise in AWS cloud services and Kubernetes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable backend services and microservices that power modern cloud-native applications.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend systems and microservices using Kotlin and JavaBuild RESTful APIs and backend logic to support high-traffic web and mobile applicationsDeploy and manage applications on AWS using services like EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, etc.Containerize and orchestrate services using Docker and Kubernetes (K8s)Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for backend servicesOptimize performance, scalability, and reliability of backend systemsParticipate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement of processesCollaborate with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and product managers

Required Skills

Strong programming experience with Kotlin and JavaIn-depth knowledge of building and maintaining RESTful APIsProficiency with AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.)Solid understanding of Kubernetes (K8s) for container orchestrationExperience with Docker and CI/CD pipelinesFamiliarity with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, etc.)Good understanding of software engineering best practices and design patterns

Preferred Skills

Experience with reactive programming and frameworks like Spring Boot / KtorFamiliarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormationExperience in event-driven architectures (Kafka, SNS/SQS)Knowledge of secure coding practices and application monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
