About the Role

As a Copy Editor at Value Research, you will be responsible for handling investment-related content for our website and publications. You will work closely with a team of analysts and act as an interface between them and readers. In that capacity, your job will entail not just editing copies for the language but also rewriting, reorganising, simplifying and doing whatever else is required to make them more reader-friendly. 

Doing this will require a unique combination of skills, which are described below. It’s not essential that you have a background in finance. Even if you are working in a different area but you possess the skills described, we would be happy to consider you.

Responsibilities

● Edit and proofread content for clarity, grammar, accuracy

● Re-write and sharpen stories to make them interesting and reflect a well-structured thought flow

● Provide suitable headlines, introductions and blurbs 

● Work closely with analysts to understand, rewrite stories and check facts

● Consistently meet deadlines, respond to edits, and work collaboratively.

Key Requirements

● Experience of 1-3 years in editing and rewriting stories for newspapers/ magazines

● Strong coordination and time management skills; comfortable with deadline-oriented projects

● Writing skills: Strong command of English

● Interest in investing and personal finance and willingness to learn more about them
