Your responsibilities will include: - Checking text to ensure it is well written, logically structured, and in the right style for the intended audience. - Correcting grammar and spelling errors. - Ensuring the text aligns with the publisher's "house style" consistently. - Being vigilant for potential legal issues in the text and discussing them with the publisher. - Verifying that illustrations and captions are accurate. To excel in this role, you should possess: - Excellent written English skills, including strong spelling and grammar. - A meticulous approach to work with a keen eye for detail. - The ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines. - A passion for language and its nuances.
