Content Editors at Ixia work on learning material created by in-house instructional designers and writers. The editor’s role is to elevate the quality of the English language used in the content and ensure it meets international standards. Familiarity with academic subjects is helpful because the work spans multiple disciplines. A strong understanding of American English conventions is a significant advantage, as our goal is to deliver a high-quality learning experience tailored to US students.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit, revise, and quality check instructional materials, correcting grammar, improving clarity, and maintaining a consistent style.
• Ensure all content aligns with client-specific language, formatting, and style standards.
• Review material for factual accuracy where necessary to ensure responsible editing.
• Track client feedback and work with internal writers and instructional designers to implement evolving client requirements.
• Modernize examples, scenarios, and references while preserving instructional intent.
• Ensure alignment with relevant learning standards and verify that assessments reflect required skills.
• Identify patterns in client revisions and help translate them into internal editing guidelines.
• Collaborate with APMs, IDs, and other editors to catch content, accuracy, and logic issues.
• Develop or refine practice questions, mastery tests, glossaries, and short lesson passages using student-friendly language.
• Apply a detailed client-specific style guide covering grammar, usage, tone, accessibility, terminology, formatting, and assessment design.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Strong educational background
• Demonstrated flair for writing and editing
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to evolving client needs
• Strong command of English (oral and written), with the ability to apply American English conventions
