Job Description

This position as lead Electrical, Instrument and Control Department. Should be able to manage and lead all engineering design and execution functions in large complex project in an EPC environment. The role involves Project concept, design, development, testing, troubleshooting and system integration of the components and sub-systems in an electrical power system. More specifically should be able to design and execute electrical power distribution system of various voltages (HV/MV/LV) including sub-stations and power networks Develop and maintains high standards and procedure for all design and engineering tasks and deliverables. Ensure Technical requirement define in the contract are properly incorporated in the engineering deliverables. Coordinate internal / external Project drawings by analysing vendor drawings and incorporating into vendor drawings. Participate in design review meetings. To check and approve discipline documents and also to check interdisciplinary documents where necessary. Drawing approvals from clients / consultants. Detailed engg/ vendor coordination/document review / tech evaluation & finalization. Identify technical risks and develop risk mitigation plans. Ensure on time quality delivery of equipment packages and engineering documentation in accordance with contract requirements, business procedures and regulatory agency guidelines. Coordinate the customers engg comments, approvals and requests with the functional activities of all disciplines. Work with consultant engineers to coordinate engineering design reviews as required for successful completion of project Assist with the establishment and implementation of project manpower needs and helps coordinate project works tasks among disciplines. Develops strategic electrical plans by studying operational plans; studying existing conditions; determining needs to accomplish operational plans; mapping solutions; updating and modifying requirements and solutions; preparing cost estimates and budgets. Promptly review design change notices, identify change order candidates, segregate cost collection and assist the Project Manager in pertinent aspects of change order management.
