Job Description

Role Summary

As a Content Writer at SpiderWorks, you will be responsible for creating compelling, high-quality written content across multiple platforms (blogs, web pages, social media posts, email newsletters, SEO-driven articles) that aligns with client goals, brand voice and digital marketing strategy. You will work with SEO specialists, digital marketers and designers to craft content that engages audiences, strengthens brand voice and drives results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and write fresh, engaging content for websites, blogs, landing pages, social media posts, email campaigns, etc.
  • Research client industries, target audiences and key topics to produce relevant and insightful content.
  • Optimize content with SEO best practices (keyword research, meta descriptions, on-page optimisation) to support organic visibility.
  • Collaborate with the digital marketing team to align content with strategy (campaigns, timelines, client briefs).
  • Edit, proof-read and polish content to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency of tone, brand voice and free of errors.
  • Adapt writing style to suit different industries, client brands and communication channels.
  • Assist in content planning: propose topics, formats, content calendars.
  • Stay updated on digital marketing/content trends, SEO algorithm changes and content best-practices.
  • Meet deadlines and manage multiple content assignments concurrently.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience (e.g., 1-3 years) as a content writer, copywriter, or similar writing role, preferably at an agency or digital marketing environment.
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills in English.
  • Strong command of grammar, style and tone adaptation.
  • Basic understanding of SEO & digital marketing concepts (keyword usage, structure, readability, on-page optimization).
  • Ability to research diverse topics, quickly understand new domains and write authoritative content.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced agency environment, handling multiple clients/projects.
  • Good collaboration and communication skills—working with designers, marketers, clients.
  • Self-motivation, attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Portfolio of writing samples (blogs, web copy, social media posts) strongly preferred.
