About the Opportunity

We are building 3 high-growth Instagram IPs from the ground up, creating viral meme content at massive scale. This is your chance to work under a Lead Content Strategist with 1M+ followers, producing high-volume meme content daily while leading a team of 2 junior graphic designers. Core Responsibilities

• Meme Curation & Ideation You will curate and conceptualize memes daily across 3 Instagram IPs, with flexible targets based on content strategy needs. This means staying ahead of trending formats, understanding what makes content viral, and translating cross-platform inspiration from Twitter, Reddit, and Instagram into scroll-stopping memes. You will develop original concepts adapted from trending formats, localize viral memes for our audience, and maintain a strategic balance between trend-jacking and evergreen content. The content mix will include static posts, carousels, and video memes based on what performs best.
• Copywriting Write engaging, witty captions and meme text that capture attention instantly. You must understand Hinglish and regional language nuances deeply, adapting tone seamlessly across different brand personalities for all 3 IPs. Your copy must be error-free, culturally relevant for tier 2/3 India audiences, and persuasive when needed for product-focused content.
• Quality Control & Final Approval You own the final QC checkpoint before content goes live. This includes checking brand language and tone consistency, visual quality and design standards, cultural sensitivity for tier 2/3 India audiences, meme relevance and trend alignment, grammar and copy accuracy, and platform-specific format compliance including dimensions and file sizes. Nothing gets published without your approval.
• Team Management Lead 2 junior graphic designers by creating daily briefs with clear creative direction, reviewing and providing feedback on all designs before QC approval, and managing task allocation with strict deadline adherence. You are responsible for maintaining team productivity while ensuring output quality meets our high standards.
• Post Scheduling & Calendar Management Maintain a consistent posting cadence across all 3 IPs. Build and manage content queue and buffer inventory to ensure we never miss our daily targets. Coordinate closely with your design team to ensure content is produced and scheduled on time daily. Use analytics to optimize posting times and maximize reach.
• Performance Tracking & Content Optimization Recommend content pivots based on engagement metrics, conduct A/B testing on different meme formats, and analyze what's working versus what's not. Collaborate with the marketing team during product launches and promotional campaigns to align content strategy with business objectives.

What You Must Have

• 4+ years managing meme-focused social media accounts with proven track record of creating viral content
• Led a content or design team of minimum 2 people
• Deep understanding of tier 2/3 India audience, their language, humor, and cultural references
• Experience with mass communication, journalism, media studies, marketing, or advertising backgrounds preferred, though experience matters more than degrees

• Daily monitoring of trending memes across Instagram, Twitter, Reddit

Technical Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of design collaboration tools like Figma or Canva
• Comfortable with Google Sheets for content management and tracking
• Strong knowledge of meme and trend research platforms
• Understanding of video trends including Reels formats, audio trends, and viral video mechanics

Copywriting Essentials:

• Writing engaging, witty short-form captions for memes
• Fluency in Hinglish and regional language nuances
• Adapting tone for different brand personalities across 3 IPs
• Error-free grammar and attention to linguistic detail

Video Meme Production:

• Conceptualizing video meme ideas for designers to execute
• Basic understanding of editing needs like text overlays, transitions, effects
• Reviewing and approving final video outputs
• Staying current with Reels formats and audio trends

This is a high-intensity role requiring consistent delivery of high-volume meme content daily. We operate in a fast-paced startup environment where speed and quality must coexist. Reporting Structure

You will report directly to our Lead Content Strategist who has built a 1M+ follower base and will mentor you closely. You will collaborate regularly with other social media team members and ensure alignment with IP-specific guidelines and content frameworks.
