Job Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented Content Editor with strong knowledge of entertainment and anime to join our editorial team. This position requires editing approximately 20,000 words per day across a mix of news and evergreen content. The ideal candidate is a sharp editor who can polish writing, enhance clarity, ensure factual accuracy, and maintain FandomWire’s engaging and concise editorial tone. Key Responsibilities: Edit and proofread a daily quota of 20,000 words consisting of entertainment and anime news, features, and evergreen content. Ensure articles are grammatically sound, structurally coherent, and SEO-optimized. Maintain consistency in style, tone, and voice as per FandomWire’s editorial guidelines. Fact-check and correct inaccuracies while ensuring content is up-to-date and credible. Collaborate with writers to provide constructive feedback and improve overall content quality. Coordinate with content strategists and editorial heads to prioritize daily and weekly editorial tasks. Requirements: 2+ years of experience editing content for digital publications, preferably in the entertainment/anime niche. Strong command of the English language, grammar, and AP-style or similar editorial standards. Deep understanding of Hollywood, TV, anime, and pop culture trends. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet daily editing goals. Familiarity with SEO practices, readability standards, and WordPress (Block Editor experience is a plus).
