Reporting to the Head of Consulting, our Principal Consultants are an integral part of the leadership team. As part of this industry-leading team you define and implement cloud-based solutions that set the benchmark for best-in-class practices and enterprise architecture guidelines. What will your job look like? Consulting Excellence Building Relationships & Strategy Execution Builds and nurtures deep relationships with internal and external stakeholders, clients, and partners. Leads a team of Amdocs cloud consulting experts, developing and implementing strategies for customer engagements with global and regional impact. Sets standards for good communication, sound decision-making, and active problem-solving. Reviews business plans against the organisations strategic mandate. Considers the long-term application and commercial viability of current research activities. Brings deep technical expertise and consults effectively at all organizational levels. Influences at scale as a trusted adviser for enterprise clients, excelling in business development, people management, relationship building, cloud solutions, and program management. Cloud Adoption & Technology Implementation Drives C-level discussions, collaborating with clients and Amdocs teams to define cloud adoption and DevOps strategies. Provides guidance to business and application delivery teams to maximize cloud technology benefits. Supports clients in troubleshooting issues in test and production environments, identifying root causes and solutions. Demonstrates expertise in delivering solutions in security-conscious and heavily regulated environments. Applies cutting-edge big data and machine learning technologies to build, manage, and automate data pipelines and analytics platforms. Builds production-grade end-to-end analytics solutions with Data Engineering, Data Science, and business teams. Creates data governance blueprints and reference architectures for analytics use cases. Evaluates state-of-the-art technologies such as cloud-optimized computing clusters and serverless data processing. Establishes best practices in data engineering and ensures quality through code reviews. Monitors and evolves data analytics platforms to support business-driven use cases. Team Building & Leadership Forms strong team relationships by leading, coaching, and motivating members while resolving blockers. Encourages breakthrough ideas, fresh perspectives, and new opportunities. Fosters a culture that promotes high-performing teams. Identifies and mentors emerging consultants across Amdocs. Knowledge Sharing & Community Building Develops, manages, and continuously improves core internal processes, creating documentation for learning and reuse. Contributes to systemic learning and enablement on complex cloud transformation projects. Specializes and deepens knowledge to provide expert consulting. Teaches Amdocs learning programs to employees and clients. Creates data transformation playbooks and best practices to help clients maximize cloud investments. Growth Strategy & Thought Leadership Supports pursuit teams in securing multi-year transformation deals. Works with leadership to implement new offerings and solutions within accounts. Serves as a brand evangelist and thought leader. Writes White Papers and speaks at industry and partner events about data transformation. Presents case studies and cloud solutions at meetups, conferences, and technology events. Identifies opportunities to access new markets, services, and clients while conducting pre-sales activities. Adapts priorities and business plans based on changing market and client demands. All you need is... 12 to 17 years of experience in industry (ideally banking, ecommerce, telecoms, retail, and consulting) with demonstrated track record of leveraging advanced analytics to achieve business impact. At least 8 years of experience in data mining and machine learning on large amount of data, and multi-tier software application design Demonstrated ability to articulate a position on a topic to influence significant global decisions to either Amdocs or a client Excellent understanding of software & data engineering principles and design patterns. Familiar with tools such as Anaconda, Jupyter, Eclipse, Jira, Git, SVN, Jenkins, etc Great programming skills in Python (Pandas, SciPy, NumPy, PySpark, etc), Scala, Java, SQL, Shell Script Experience with traditional data analytics platform stack (Hadoop, Hive, HBase, Spark, Flink, Kafka, Presto, Airflow, etc), and / or cloud (AWS) based analytics services (Amazon Kinesis Data Streams, AWS EMR, AWS Glue etc ), Databricks and structured (SQL) and unstructured databases (Graph Database, NoSQL). Database experience with Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL or other Familiar with industry paradigms and standards for model development, validation and testing and have developed and implemented large-scaled machine learning solutions from end to end. Strong in problem-solving, being resourceful with end-to-end critical thinking to find out solutions even in unfamiliar scenarios. Good communication and project management skills. Demonstrated strong interests in learning about Data Governance, Analytics & Machine Learning through own initiatives A track record of facilitating the exploration of new ideas and leading innovation among teams. Strong facilitation skills with demonstrated experience leading scoping and design sessions, sprint planning, and managing geographically dispersed teams You can determine what is best for the organisation overall and create an environment for others to do the same Thought Leadership and evangelism experience demonstrated by presenting at an industry forums and events Delivered significant outcomes at security conscious and heavily regulated organisations You create trust and operate with humility You move with urgency and focus and take responsibility seriously You think rigorously.
