  • Qualification required:

    Graduate degree in Management, Renewable Energy, Engineering, or related fields/MBA-Business Development/Rural Management are preferable.
  • 3+ years of experience in business / partnerships development within the renewable energy sector, with a focus on solar energy.
  • Build market position by locating, developing, defining and formalizing business partnerships.
  • Experience in working with women SHG and solar-powered entrepreneurs will be added advantage.
  • Skill and Competencies

    • Strong understanding of solar energy systems, renewable energy technologies, and market dynamics.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Proficiency in financial modelling and project management tools.
    • Ability to analyse regulatory frameworks and their implications for business operations.

    About the Role

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Identify, evaluate, and pursue business opportunities in renewable energy, sustainability, and aligned sectors.
    • Develop business growth strategies, new revenue streams and action plans to expand market presence.
    • Conduct market research to assess potential partners, funding opportunities, and industry trends.
    • Write compelling concept notes, brief summaries, EoIs and funding applications tailored to donor requirements.
    • Manage grant agreements, ensuring compliance with donor guidelines and timely reporting.

    Proposal and DPR Development

    • Prepare detailed and persuasive project proposals to align with client and funder requirements.
    • Develop Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) outlining project objectives, financial models, technical plans, and implementation strategies.
    • Ensure proposals and DPRs are data-driven, compliant with regulatory requirements, and aligned with organizational goals.

    Capacity Building and Advocacy

    • Train and mentor team members in credit access, market assessment, fulfilling DPR and ensuring quality submission.
    • Advocate for the organization s goals in industry forums, policy discussions, exhibitions and other public platforms

    • Recognise prospective clients in the region, creates a client database identifying their needs, initiates follow-up actions and prepares financial models and planning template for their growth.
  • Tasks as and when required depending upon the program s requirement.

    • Results-driven with a Go to Market attitude who has an ability to connect with people, build client contacts at higher level and should be able to convert contacts into business opportunities.
    • Passion for sustainability and renewable energy.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
    • Ensure compliance with internal and external guidelines, policies and procedures.

    3. Group Discussions may be part of the interview process for certain positions.
    4. The process could also include presentation of the assignment.
    5. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend one or more rounds of panel interview/s.

    The complete process usually takes 2 to 3 weeks. If your application is not shortlisted, you will receive a mail from the People Culture team.
