Job Description

Role Overview: As part of Arcadis" Environmental Planning team, you will work on various projects related to sustainability and resilience. Your work will involve areas such as protected species, pollution management, surface water and materials management, air quality, and noise in diverse locations across the globe. Key Responsibilities: - Support air quality and noise teams in the UK by assisting in project delivery, including tasks like desktop baseline assessments, managing large datasets, and analyzing air quality and noise monitoring data. Experience in noise and air quality modeling is desirable. - Assist in completing project tasks within budget, timeframe, and quality targets, exceeding client expectations when necessary. - Willingness to support the broader global business if needed due to workload demands. - Support in the completion of air quality and noise assessments, data analysis, manipulation, and interpretation. - Prepare technical reports, conduct modeling using air quality and noise software, contribute to proposals, bids, and marketing materials, and perform other duties as required. Qualifications Required: - Experience in using GIS software like Arc, QGIS, Google Sketchup. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word. - Acoustic modeling experience in proprietary software like SoundPLAN, CADNAA, IMMI, NoiseMAP, Predictor, Odeon, INSUL. - Mandatory UK experience. - Air quality modeling experience in proprietary software like ADMS Roads and AERMOD. - Detailed knowledge of UK assessment methodologies and British Standards on Noise and/Air Quality. - Highly motivated, innovative, and committed individual with excellent written and time management skills. - Background in environmental-related qualifications demonstrating adaptability to support air quality and noise teams (Environmental/Science-based) or Mathematics, Acoustics, or Physics.
