This is an on?site teaching role that combines classroom instruction, lab supervision, and hands?on project work to prepare students for academic and career pathways in technology.Role & Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age?appropriate computer science and digital literacy lessons aligned to curriculum and learning outcomes for assigned grades.
- Design hands?on coding and IT lab sessions using tools like Scratch and Python to reinforce concepts and foster problem solving.
- Manage and maintain the computer lab environmentsetup, troubleshooting, inventory tracking, and basic hardware maintenance.
- Create formative and summative assessments, grade assignments, and provide constructive feedback to support student progress.
- Integrate educational technology (Google Classroom, Smartboard) to enhance classroom engagement and manage digital assignments.
- Collaborate with school leadership, fellow teachers, and parents on student development plans and extra?curricular tech initiatives.
Skills & Qualifications
Must?Have
- Proven ability to teach computer fundamentals and introductory programming (e.g., Python, Scratch) to school?age learners.
- Hands?on experience managing an IT/computer lab and basic troubleshooting of desktop OS, peripherals, and networks.
- Familiarity with classroom technologies and platforms such as Google Classroom and Smartboard.
- Experience designing lesson plans, assessments, and project?based learning activities for K?12 students.
- Strong classroom management and student engagement techniques tailored to varied learning styles.
- Good communication with students, parents, and colleagues and ability to document learning outcomes.
Preferred
- Experience teaching web fundamentals (HTML, CSS) and basic electronics or maker kits (Arduino).
- Familiarity with coding competitions, clubs, or extra?curricular tech programs.
- Certifications in education technology or formal teacher training (preferred but not mandatory).
