Computer Scientist (Backend)

Job Description

We are looking for a backend engineer who is passionate about designing and building scalable backend systems for the Adobe Administration team . What You ll Do Develop and optimize backend services using Java (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud) , ensuring high performance and scalability. Design and implement RESTful APIs and GraphQL services for seamless integration with frontend and third-party applications. Work with microservices architecture and event-driven systems , ensuring modular and maintainable services. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define best practices for backend development, performance optimization, and security. Build and maintain SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB), optimizing queries and schema design. Deploy and manage cloud-based solutions using AWS and container orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes . Implement logging, monitoring, and observability solutions using tools like Prometheus, Splunk, and New Relic . Participate in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD automation , ensuring high-quality software delivery. What You Need to Succeed 7-8 years of hands-on experience in Java backend development . Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate, and REST API design . Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems. Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases , with hands-on experience in schema design and performance tuning. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and containerized environments ( Docker, Kubernetes ). Experience in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices (Jenkins, Terraform, Git). Strong understanding of scalability, performance optimization, and security best practices . Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, New Relic, Splunk). Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and following DevOps methodologies. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a strong focus on ownership and accountability.
