Inviting professionals from the field of Physiotherapy and a passion to serve rural and underserved areas to work with Basic Healthcare Services, as a Physiotherapist at AMRIT Clinics in Salumbar district, southern Rajasthan, 70 kms from Udaipur. Basic Healthcare Services (BHS) is a not-for-profit organization with a vision of a world where marginalized and vulnerable communities lead a healthy life with dignity. BHS operates a network of AMRIT Clinics that offer high-quality and affordable primary health care to rural and tribal communities in south Rajasthan. The organization also runs phulwaris (daycare centers for children under 5) that provide a safe environment, nutritious food, and learning and play to children from tribal communities. BHS is actively involved in primary healthcare advocacy in India and is collaborating in two ICMR-led implementation research studies aimed at strengthening public health systems. Rural communities have a significant need for physiotherapy services due to musculoskeletal stress, strain, and injuries resulting from their occupations, particularly in farming. Indoor air pollution and certain occupations also contribute to occupational lung diseases, requiring respiratory physiotherapy. To address this need, BHS has initiated the integration of physiotherapy and rehabilitation services across its AMRIT Clinics and communities. The Physiotherapist at AMRIT Clinic will provide physiotherapy services to women, men, and children of all ages and conditions visiting the clinics. They will collaborate with the community empowerment team to educate and raise awareness about services, healthy lifestyles, and fitness for the community and primary healthcare teams. Responsibilities also include developing community-based physiotherapy services, designing training programs for primary healthcare teams, and analyzing trends and utilization of physiotherapy services in AMRIT Clinics. The Physiotherapist will receive mentorship from experienced professionals at BHS and partner organizations. Qualifications and experience required for the role include a Bachelors or Masters in Physiotherapy and a minimum of 2 years of experience in treating patients from all systems.
