Smera Foundation, based in Thrissur, is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering underprivileged youth through skill development programs. In collaboration with SAATHIYA, a philanthropic initiative by Infosys Co-founder Shibulal and family, the foundation offers courses in Housekeeping and Food & Beverage service. The programs include two months of residential training followed by on-the-job training (OJT) for 8 to 12 weeks at premium hotels. Smera Foundation also provides long-term career guidance for up to five years and supports students with placement assistance in reputed establishments.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position located in Thrissur for a Communication and Life Skills Trainer. In this role, the trainer will design and deliver training sessions focusing on communication, life skills, and soft skills to empower students for employment in the hospitality sector. Responsibilities include conducting workshops, preparing training materials, mentoring students, tracking their progress, and providing actionable feedback to enhance their competencies.

Qualifications

• Strong English communication, Soft Skills, and Life Skills training expertise
• Proficiency in Presentation Skills and ability to deliver engaging training sessions
• Experience in Training & Development or a background in education, especially with training groups of youth
• Empathy, patience, and the ability to mentor and inspire learners
• Prior experience in the hospitality or education sector is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred
