About CommsPur Collective At CommsPur Collective, we work at the intersection of communication, culture, and change. We are a communication think tank that partners with social purpose organizations to help them find, shape, and share their stories with the world. Our work begins with a simple belief: communication is not an accessory to change, it is the backbone that holds it together. Across India, we will work with changemakers who are solving complex problems with limited resources. We will help them uncover their voice, build systems of storytelling, and speak with the clarity and confidence their work deserves. The Role We’re looking for someone who loves stories, patterns, and people. As a Research and Communication Intern , you’ll join a small, high-energy team that moves between the worlds of storytelling, systems thinking, and social impact. You’ll help decode how organizations communicate, why some stories move people and others don’t, and how language can build trust. Your days may include: Researching social impact organizations and mapping their communication ecosystems. Supporting narrative audits gathering stories, language, and audience insights. Helping design storytelling toolkits, communication calendars, and campaign ideas. Capturing and curating stories from the field stories that move hearts and open possibilities. Assisting with content creation blogs, short reports, case stories, and visual briefs. Participating in team reflections to connect patterns between data, language, and meaning. This is not a support role. It's an invitation to think, question, write, and build alongside people who are reimagining how India’s changemakers tell their stories. Who You Are We are less interested in what’s on your résumé and more in how you see the world. You might be a recent postgraduate in communications, development, media, or the social sciences. You might be someone who reads widely, writes thoughtfully, and notices how words and ideas travel. You might enjoy connecting research with narrative, finding the story within the structure. What matters most is that you: Are curious, empathetic, and reflective. Think critically and write clearly. Enjoy both research and storytelling. Are organized, proactive, and value thoughtful, inclusive communication. Believe that stories, told well, can shift systems, not just sentiments. What You’ll Gain You’ll work in a learning environment that values inquiry over instruction. You’ll learn how impact-driven narratives are built; from the ground up and how they can shape visibility, trust, and funding for social change. You will: Receive mentorship in narrative design, storytelling, and systems thinking. Work directly with social organizations across India. Learn how stories influence perception, partnerships, and resources. Build a portfolio of work that helps real organizations communicate with purpose. A stipend of Rs 15,000 per month. This is an opportunity to be part of something larger, to help shape how India’s development story is told. Duration 3-6 Months How to Apply Send your narrative style CV, a short note on “What’s not Working?,” and one piece of writing or creative work you’re proud of to Contact@CommsPurCollective.com .
