Job Description

As a Commis 2, you will support the kitchen team in preparing high-quality dishes across Indian, Continental, and Bakery sections. You will follow standard recipes, ensure food hygiene and safety, and assist senior chefs in daily operations. ⸻ Key Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes as per standard recipes and instructions. Maintain cleanliness and organization in your workstation at all times. Follow hygiene, health, and safety guidelines (HACCP standards). Support Chef de Partie and Commis 1 in mise en place and service. Measure and mix ingredients accurately as per recipe requirements. Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items. Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Learn and adopt new recipes and cooking techniques. Follow portion control and minimize wastage. Assist in inventory management and stock rotation. ⸻ Skills and Requirements: 1–2 years of experience in a hotel or restaurant kitchen. Knowledge of basic cooking techniques in Indian, Continental, and/or Bakery. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Good communication and teamwork skills. Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene. Passion for cooking and willingness to learn and grow. ⸻ Preferred Qualifications: Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management. Prior experience in multi-cuisine kitchens is an advantage.
