As a Cook at Marriott International, your role involves preparing ingredients for cooking, such as portioning, chopping, and storing food. You will be responsible for washing and peeling fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients. Your duties will include preparing and cooking food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist. Additionally, you will be required to prepare cold foods and operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers. Testing foods to ensure they are cooked sufficiently and monitoring food quality during preparation are also part of your responsibilities. Setting up and breaking down your work station, serving food in proper portions onto proper receptacles, and washing and disinfecting the kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment are essential tasks. You will also need to check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food.
