Collections Manager

NBFC

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead nationwide legal recovery actions including Sec. 138 matters, arbitration, civil/criminal cases, and Lok Adalat proceedings.
• Strategically plan and execute legal interventions to maximize recoveries.
• Manage and supervise external lawyers, law firms, and recovery agencies.
• Oversee issuance of notices, arbitration processes, and execution of awards.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal policies.
• Review loan agreements, pleadings, affidavits, and case filings.
• Collaborate with Collections, Credit, and Risk teams to strengthen legal recoveries.
• Maintain MIS, dashboards, and monthly reports on litigation and recovery performance.
• Develop legal policies/SOPs and conduct training for internal teams.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of recovery laws, arbitration, and civil/criminal litigation.
• Deep knowledge of NBFC recoveries and NPA legal strategies.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical abilities.
• Ability to lead pan-India legal operations and multiple stakeholders.
• Strong communication and decision-making skills.

Qualifications:

• LLB/LLM from a recognized university.
• 10+ years in NBFC/BFSI legal recovery and litigation, including 3–5 years in a national/regional leadership role.
• Mandatory experience in arbitration, Section 138, and NPA litigation.
