Job Title: CNC Programmer Location: UniMech Aerospace, Peenya Experience: 3-5 years Education: Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering Job Description: Key Responsibilities: Develop, optimize, and validate CNC programs using Mastercam/SolidCAM for 3-axis, 4-axis, 5-axis, VTL, CNC Turning, and Turn-Mill centers. Interpret and modify 2D drawings/3D models using CAD tools for efficient programming. Configure and operate Makino, HAAS, and Hyundai CNC machines with advanced features, including automatic probing systems for tool and workpiece measurement. Perform tool path optimization, cutting parameter selection, and cycle time reduction for high-precision aerospace components. Troubleshoot programming and machining issues to ensure first-time-right quality and minimal rework. Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to ensure seamless execution of machining operations. Maintain and update CNC programs to align with process improvements and new part introductions. Key Requirements: 3-5 years of experience in CNC programming with Mastercam/SolidCAM. 2. Proficiency in multi-axis machining (3-axis, 4-axis, 5-axis, VTL, CNC Turning, Turn-Mill). 3. Working knowledge of Makino, HAAS, and Hyundai control systems, including automatic probing. 4. Basic proficiency in CAD software to modify or create tool paths from drawings/models. 5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to improve machining efficiency. 6. hands-on debugging of CNC programs. 7. Understanding of GD&T, tool selection, and material machining properties. 8. Ability to work in a high-precision aerospace manufacturing environment. Preferred Skills: Exposure to post-processor customization for CNC machines. 2. Knowledge of fixture design and work-holding techniques for complex parts.
