Job Description

Job Title : CNC Operator & Setter Experience : 0 to 5 Years Salary : ₹18,000 – ₹28,000 per month Location : Perungudi, Chennai Key Responsibilities Operate and set up CNC machines as per production requirements Read and interpret engineering drawings using GD&T Perform machine offset adjustments and change tool inserts as needed Load raw materials and conduct part inspections using measuring instruments (vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, etc.) Understand and apply G-Code and M-Code for machine operations Monitor machine performance and ensure optimal cutting conditions Conduct first piece inspection and make necessary corrections Ensure proper documentation and adherence to safety procedures Assist in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting machine issues Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation Knowledge of CNC machine operations (Turning/Milling preferred) Understanding of machine offsets and tool insert changes Proficiency in reading engineering drawings . Skilled in using measuring instruments for part inspection Basic knowledge of CNC programming is a plus Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to learn and grow in a manufacturing environment Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc. Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc. Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month Schedule: Rotational shift Shift availability: Day Shift (Preferred) Work Location: In person
