CNC Machine Operator

Job Description

A CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Operator is responsible for operating CNC machines that cut and shape metal and plastic parts. The role requires interpreting technical drawings, setting up machinery, loading materials, and monitoring production runs for quality and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Machine Setup and Operation: Set up and operate CNC machines (e.g., mills, lathes, grinders). Load raw materials and tools into machines. Select and install appropriate tooling. Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD designs. Follow written and verbal instructions for production specifications. Programming and Adjustments: Input and adjust machine control programs as needed. Make minor edits to G-code and M-code based on production needs. Quality Control: Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments. Ensure parts meet tolerances and specifications. Perform in-process and final inspections. Maintenance and Safety: Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning. Follow all safety procedures and protocols. Identify and report malfunctions or potential hazards. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production runs and machine settings. Report any deviations or issues to supervisors or engineers. Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, programmers, and quality control staff. Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing efforts. Skills and Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (technical/vocational training preferred) Proven experience as a CNC operator or machinist Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings Familiarity with CNC programming (G-code) Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Ability to use precision measuring tools Basic math and computer skills Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month Schedule: Day shift Shift availability: Day Shift (Preferred) Work Location: In person
