CNC Machine Operator

Job Description: As a Machine Operator, your role involves setting up and operating CNC machines such as Router, Lathe, Milling, and Laser according to custom requirements. You will be responsible for loading raw materials, ensuring proper alignment, and running machine operations based on program settings and job orders. It will be essential for you to monitor the machine during operations to maintain accuracy and precision. Key Responsibilities: - Read and interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and CNC programs effectively. - Make minor adjustments to machine settings when necessary. - Report any programming errors or issues to the programmer or engineer promptly. Qualifications Required: - Measure finished products using tools like Vernier caliper, micrometer, gauges, etc. - Ensure all components are within tolerance and meet quality standards. - Reject or rework defective pieces with proper documentation. As part of maintenance and safety protocols, you will need to perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance. It is crucial to report any breakdowns or unusual machine behavior promptly. You are expected to adhere to all shop-floor safety rules, PPE guidelines, and 5S practices to ensure a safe working environment. In terms of documentation and reporting, you will be responsible for maintaining daily production logs and machine usage reports. Additionally, recording quantities produced, errors, and downtime accurately is essential. Effective communication of production status to the supervisor is also part of your responsibilities.
