Job Title: CNC Lathe Machine Operator

Department: Machine Shop / Production

Reports To: Production Engineer / Shop Supervisor

Job Summary:

The CNC Lathe Machine Operator will be responsible for operating, setting, and programming CNC Lathe machines to produce high-quality precision components as per drawing and production requirements. The role demands strong technical knowledge of CNC machine operations, tool setting, offsets, and understanding of FANUC controllers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Operation & Setup:
• Operate and set up CNC Lathe machines (SUGNIMI, BFW make).
• Load and unload workpieces, fixtures, and tools as per job requirements.
• Prepare and adjust machine tools and offsets to achieve desired accuracy.
• Programming & Parameter Setting:
• Create or modify CNC programs using FANUC controller.
• Input and edit offsets, tool lengths, and coordinates accurately.
• Ensure optimal machining parameters for efficiency and tool life.
• Quality Control:
• Measure finished components using vernier, micrometer, and other precision instruments.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish as per drawing.
• Maintain first-piece inspection and periodic checks during production.
• Maintenance & Safety:
• Conduct daily machine cleaning and minor preventive maintenance.
• Report mechanical or programming issues to the Maintenance or Production Engineer.
• Follow all safety and housekeeping standards within the machine shop.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Record daily production, tool usage, and downtime data.
• Support production planning and material movement activities.
• Coordinate with supervisors for job priorities and production targets.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: ITI (Turner / Machinist / CNC Operator) or equivalent technical qualification.
• Experience: Minimum 2–5 years of hands-on experience in CNC Lathe operation.
• Machine Knowledge: SUGNIMI, BFW CNC Lathe machines.
• Controller Knowledge: FANUC system.
• Skills Required:
• Tool setting and offset adjustments.
• Basic CNC programming and editing.
• Understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Knowledge of measuring instruments and gauges.
• Basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹11,003.65 - ₹27,105.67 per month
