We specialize in Metering, Billing, RMS, MRI analysis for Electricity, Water and Gas domains. Job Overview: The Cluster Head is responsible for overseeing and managing the execution of spot billing projects, ensuring the successful delivery of all project phases, from planning and implementation to monitoring and evaluation. This role involves coordinating teams, optimizing processes, ensuring accurate billing, and addressing any issues related to customer billing or operational inefficiencies. The Project Manager will lead the efforts to streamline billing operations and achieve the desired results for both the company and its customers. Role & responsibilities - A Project Manager shall be deputed as the Cluster Head to monitor the meter reading, billing, bill distribution and collection activities and shall report to the Director (Commercial), DISCOM. He assists the Chief Zonal Engineers and DISCOM management to improve the billing quality and efficiency, redressal of exceptions provided by meter readers, resolution of consumer grievances, resolution of issues related to billing software/apps provided by the DISCOM, consumer database updates etc. The Team Leader shall ensure that necessary buffer stock is available for the meter readers like printers, mobile phones, SIM, printing paper roll etc. for smooth functioning of spot billing work. He shall also coordinate and seek guidance from Discom management and Chief Zonal Engineers on any issue related to non-cooperation of Division Engineers. He shall also periodically schedule training for Supervisors/ meter readers to ensure quality of spot billing work. Maintain accurate records of invoice status, payment receipts, and any penalties or adjustments related to billing. Lead and manage spot billing projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Develop project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables, and ensure their execution. Coordinate with internal teams, including billing, field operations, IT, and customer service, to ensure seamless project execution. Track project progress and resolve any obstacles or delays promptly. Identify opportunities for process improvement in the spot billing operations and work with relevant teams to implement changes. Ensure that spot billing processes are optimized for accuracy, speed, and customer satisfaction. Implement best practices for billing accuracy, data management, and reporting. Manage and lead cross-functional project teams, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and performance. Allocate tasks, set expectations, and monitor the performance of team members to meet project goals. Provide coaching, mentoring, and training team members, promoting continuous development. Oversee and address customer complaints or billing discrepancies related to spot billing projects. Work closely with customer service teams to resolve any billing-related issues, ensuring customer satisfaction. Gather customer feedback to improve the overall billing process and service delivery. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success, including billing accuracy, timeliness, and customer satisfaction. Prepare regular reports for senior management, including project status updates, milestones achieved, and challenges encountered. Analyze data related to billing performance and present actionable insights to enhance future project delivery. Develop and manage the project budget, ensuring optimal use of resources. Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or efficiency. Ensure that all project resources are efficiently utilized and aligned with project goals. Ensure that spot billing projects comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards. Identify potential risks in the project, including delays, resource shortages, or process inefficiencies, and develop mitigation plans. Conduct audits and reviews to ensure all activities adhere to compliance standards and best practices. Preferred candidate profile He shall be having minimum 10 years of experience post Engineering in the field of similar projects for handling of technology process and manpower. PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or other relevant certifications in project management is a plus. Experience : Experience in project management, preferably in billing or operations-related projects. Proven experience in managing large-scale projects with cross-functional teams. Familiarity with billing systems, revenue management, or customer service is an advantage. Experience in process optimization, cost control, and risk management. Skills : Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, and monitoring. Excellent leadership and team management abilities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address operational challenges. Proficiency in project management tools and billing systems. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Budgeting and resource management capabilities.
