Cloud Operations Manager

Role

We are seeking an experienced Manager to Lead, build, and mentor, our Network Operations Centre (NOC) team in Surat. You will ensure 24/7 operational stability, manage incident responses, and drive a scalable, disciplined NOC function. Collaborate closely with DevOps, Cloud, and Client Success teams for proactive monitoring, efficient escalation, and SLA compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and manage NOC engineers across 24/7 shifts.
• Oversee incident response, escalation flows, and shift handovers.
• Define and enforce SOPs, runbooks, and monitoring best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement in alert handling, documentation, and reporting.
• Collaborate with DevOps and Cloud teams for faster resolution.
• Track KPIs (MTTR, FRT, SLA compliance, ticket quality).
• Conduct performance reviews, training, and operational audits.
• Manage NOC hiring, onboarding, and team culture.

Preferred candidate profile

Experience: 6 - 10 relevant years in IT Operations/NOC/Infrastructure support, with 5 - 6 years in a lead or Sr SRE role.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of monitoring tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Dynatrace, Zabbix, etc.).
• Solid foundation in Linux/Windows servers, networking basics, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Familiar with scripting (Python, Shell) and automation concepts (Terraform, Ansible).

Leadership Skills

• Proven ability to manage 24/7 operations, enforce accountability, and handle shift management effectively.
• Strong incident management skills, with clear communication and stakeholder coordination.
• Applies a data-driven approach to drive operational excellence and process improvements, while demonstrating decisive leadership and people management under pressure.
