The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of overall IT experience with 5 years specializing in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions in Azure.

The candidate will be responsible for developing cloud strategies, driving cloud adoption, optimizing infrastructure, and ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient Azure cloud solutions for enterprise workloads.
• Define cloud architecture standards, best practices, and governance frameworks.
• Lead migration of on-premises workloads (applications, databases, and infrastructure) to Azure.
• Architect and configure Azure services including VMs, VNets, Load Balancers, Storage Accounts, Azure Active Directory, Application Gateways, AKS, App Services, and Azure SQL.
• Ensure network architecture is optimized, including VPNs, ExpressRoute, firewalls, DNS, routing, and hybrid connectivity.
• Oversee storage solutions including Blob, Disk, File storage, Backup, and Disaster Recovery.
• Collaborate with security teams to implement Identity and Access Management, RBAC, encryption, compliance, and monitoring.
• Work with development and DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and administrators.
• Optimize costs and ensure efficient utilization of Azure resources.
• Troubleshoot complex cloud, networking, and system issues.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• 10+ years of overall IT experience with strong background in system administration, networking, and storage.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure Cloud architecture and implementation.
• Strong expertise in Windows/Linux system administration.
• Deep understanding of networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, load balancing, VPN, routing, hybrid connectivity.
• Hands-on experience in Azure security and compliance frameworks.
• Experience with cloud migrations (lift & shift, re-platforming, and modernization).
• Strong understanding of Disaster Recovery (DR), Backup, and Business Continuity Planning.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, Bicep).
• Experience working with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and container platforms (AKS, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have:

• Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator, or Azure Security Engineer).
• Experience with multi-cloud/hybrid cloud environments.
• Familiarity with automation frameworks (PowerShell, Python, Ansible).
