Clinical Physiotherapist

Role Overview

The Clinical Staff member will play a vital role in delivering high-quality physiotherapy care within the Outpatient Department (OPD). Working under the supervision of a Senior Physiotherapist, the candidate will assist in patient assessments, treatments, and overall clinical operations to ensure smooth functioning of the OPD.

Key Responsibilities

1. Patient Care

• Conduct initial patient assessments and evaluations.
  
• Prepare patients for physiotherapy treatments by setting up equipment and ensuring proper positioning.
  
• Perform basic physiotherapy procedures—such as soft tissue manipulation, heat therapy, and exercise assistance—under supervision.
  
• Monitor and record patient progress, reporting any significant changes to the Senior Physiotherapist.
  
• Attend to Inpatient Department (IPD) patients as and when required.
  
• Participate in physiotherapy camps conducted at various external sites.
  

2. Administrative Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  
• Assist with scheduling patient appointments and managing the overall OPD calendar.
  
• Support inventory management by tracking and replenishing physiotherapy supplies and equipment.
  

3. Clinical Support

• Ensure the physiotherapy area remains clean, safe, and well-organized.
  
• Check that all equipment is correctly maintained, calibrated, and functioning.
  
• Participate actively in team meetings, workshops, and training sessions to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  

Qualifications & Skills

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy or a related field.
  

Experience

• 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred.
  
• Freshers may also be considered based on demonstrated skills and competency.
  

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of physiotherapy principles, modalities, and basic techniques.
  
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  
• Proficiency in using physiotherapy equipment and relevant software systems.
  

Additional Requirements

• Mandatory:

  Valid CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) certification.

• Preferred Certifications:

  MFR (Myofascial Release), Cupping Therapy, Dry Needling, or other advanced physiotherapy techniques.
