Clinical Physician | Bangalore

Responsibilities

• Collaborates as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team to design and test clinical content including workflows, order sets, and documentation templates for the care of emergency room, acute care and critical care patients.
• Is an independent and team contributor offering proposals and process improvements to streamline the design, delivery and testing of clinical, operational and logistical applications and workflows
• Provides clinical advice for the purpose of building/enhancing clinical systems such as Clinical Decision Support (CDS/CDSS), clinical data validation, data mapping, etc
• Assists Quality Assurance teams in validating clinical scripts for Key Clinical Workflow areas such as Computerized Provider Order Entry (CPOE), Medication Management, Clinical Documentation, CDS/CDSS, etc.
• Analyzes potential or actual Patient Safety-related customer/internal reports and takes appropriate action(s)
• Assists with implementing Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) for identified software defects

Requirements

• Currently registered as a licensed physician, nurse practitioner, physician assistant or pharmacist.
• Proficient end-user experience with Electronic Health Record software
• Ability to rapidly analyze, abstract, categorize and synthesize large amounts of complex healthcare record data for both acute-care and emergency care conditions to provide application test cases with an emphasis on quality of care, evidence-based care, patient safety and usability •
• Experience with and understanding of medical terminologies and taxonomies such as SNOMED-CT, ICD-9/ICD-10, LOINC, RxNorm, UMLS, CPT, etc.
