Location: Indore / Guwahati / Raipur

Job Summary:

Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) Therapy

Key Responsibilities:

1. Coordination with Nephrologists and Clinical Staff

• Meet nephrologists to generate patient referrals for PD therapy by highlighting its benefits.
  
• Engage with haemodialysis (HD) technicians and nursing staff to create awareness and positivity towards PD therapy.
  
• Conduct follow-up discussions with nephrologists, nursing staff, and HD technicians to ensure therapy compliance and patient satisfaction.
  

2. Patient Counselling & Education

• Counsel patients and their families on ESRD management and dialysis modalities, with a focus on Peritoneal Dialysis, in consultation with the nephrologist.
  
• Educate patients about therapy benefits, required lifestyle adjustments, and home-based dialysis procedures.
  
• Address patient concerns, providing emotional and educational support to encourage therapy acceptance and adherence.
  
• Conduct monthly visits and follow-up sessions to monitor therapy compliance and patient satisfaction.
  

3. Patient Management & Monitoring

• Monitor patient progress and clinical parameters during PD therapy.
  
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to therapy and patient outcomes.
  
• Coordinate with nephrologists, dialysis nurses, and other medical staff to ensure continuity and quality of care.
  
• Identify and promptly report any complications or deviations in patient condition to the nephrologist.
  

4. Infection Control & Emergency Management

• Ensure strict compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques during PD training and procedures.
  
• Educate patients and caregivers on home hygiene and sterile handling practices to prevent infection.
  
• Provide first-level clinical support in emergency situations and escalate cases appropriately to the medical team.
  

5. Training & Clinical Support

• Train new PD patients and caregivers on therapy initiation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  
• Assist healthcare teams with PD setup, equipment checks, and operational support.
  
• Participate in organizational training and professional development programs to maintain up-to-date knowledge of dialysis practices and protocols.
  

6. Reporting & Coordination

• Act as a liaison between patients, treating nephrologists, and the therapy provider to ensure seamless communication.
  
• Prepare and maintain periodic reports on therapy outcomes, patient adherence, and key quality indicators.
  
• Contribute to awareness and education campaigns focused on renal health and PD therapy promotion.
  

Educational Qualifications:

• B.Sc. Nursing / GNM Nursing / MLT / DMLT / Diploma in Dialysis Technology / Haemodialysis Technician or equivalent qualification.
  

Experience:

• 15 years of experience in dialysis centres, nephrology departments, or renal therapy programs (preferred).
  
• Freshers with strong clinical aptitude and excellent patient communication skills are also encouraged to apply.
  

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong patient counselling and interpersonal communication skills.
  
• Comprehensive knowledge of dialysis principles, patient care, and infection control protocols.
  
• Proficiency in clinical assessment and basic emergency management.
  
• Excellent documentation and reporting abilities.
  
• Empathetic, patient-focused attitude with a commitment to quality healthcare delivery.
  
• Flexibility to travel across city and state for business purposes.
  
• Must own a two-wheeler or four-wheeler for official travel.
