An Engineer in End User Support (EUS) is responsible for providing technical support and assistance to end users within an organization. They play a crucial role in ensuring that end users have the necessary tools, resources, and technical guidance to effectively carry out their work. Here is a general job description for an Engineer - EUS : Responsibilities : Technical Support : Provide technical support and assistance to end users via various channels, including in-person, remote support tools, and helpdesk ticketing systems. Respond to user inquiries, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and resolve technical problems in a timely manner. Hardware and Software Setup : Install, configure, and maintain end-user hardware, including desktop computers, laptops, peripherals (printers, scanners), and mobile devices. Install and configure software applications, operating systems, and updates as needed. User Account Management : Create, manage, and maintain user accounts, permissions, and access rights for various systems and applications. Assist with password resets, account provisioning, and access requests. System Monitoring and Maintenance : Monitor system performance, availability, and security. Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as software updates, system backups, and antivirus scans, to ensure system stability and data protection.
