Clearlight Insights is hiring a highly technical Email Delivery & Infrastructure Specialist with deep expertise in domain authentication, deliverability engineering, and cold outreach infrastructure. This role requires hands-on experience managing complex sending environments and protecting domain reputation across multiple channels and platforms. Role Overview You will own the entire email delivery stack for Clearlight Insights - from DNS configuration and warm-up systems to deliverability monitoring, de-risking cold outreach, and troubleshooting server-level issues. You will be responsible for ensuring our communications consistently reach inboxes globally. Core Responsibilities 1. Domain, DNS & Authentication Management Configure and maintain SPF, DKIM, DMARC (strict enforcement), BIMI, ARC, and MTA-STS. Build secure DNS architecture for multiple sending domains and subdomains. Implement proper alignment policies and continuously validate authentication performance. Perform DNS audits, propagation testing, and record integrity checks. 2. Deliverability Engineering & Diagnostics Diagnose inbox placement issues using tools like GlockApps, Postmark, Warmup Inbox, Mail-Tester, MXToolbox, ZeroBounce, and Google Postmaster Tools. Investigate bounce codes, spam triggers, blocklist issues, and MTA response errors. Monitor and maintain domain/IP reputation across major ISPs (Microsoft, Google, Yahoo, iCloud, corporate firewalls). Identify deliverability degradation early and execute recovery plans. 3. Email Server & Hosting Infrastructure Manage and troubleshoot email routing, SMTP servers, and hosting environments. Set up and manage custom sending environments (Google Workspace + additional SMTP relays). Configure warming schedules and volume ramp-ups for new domains. Liaise with hosting providers when server or DNS-level issues occur. 4. Cold Outreach System Setup & Compliance Build and optimize multi-domain cold email setups (emphasis on high deliverability and low risk). Implement send-limit management, throttling rules, rotation across mailboxes, and A/B infrastructure setups. Ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and domain protection policies. Integrate and monitor platforms such as Instantly, Apollo, Lemlist, Reply.io, etc. 5. Monitoring, Reporting & Optimisation Maintain dashboards for spam rate, open rate, domain reputation, and deliverability signals. Produce weekly technical reports on domain health and sending performance. Proactively recommend system-level improvements. Required Experience 5+ years of hands-on, technical experience in email deliverability, DNS management, and server-level troubleshooting. Deep understanding of MTA behaviour, SMTP protocols, ESP routing, and IP/domain reputation systems. Strong experience managing cold outreach infrastructure with multiple sending domains. Prior work with: Google Postmaster Tools, Microsoft SNDS, SPF/DKIM/DMARC setup tools, Sending platforms (GSuite, SMTP providers, cold email tools), Deliverability monitoring tools Ability to debug and resolve complex domain-level and ISP-level issues. Experience supporting distributed teams or agencies is preferred.
