Profile Background

The Junior Citrix Operations Associate will assist in the daily support and maintenance of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments, primarily hosted on Citrix DaaS and Microsoft Azure. The role focuses on day-to-day operations, issue resolution, and support of users and infrastructure within Citrix environments. The associate will work under guidance from senior engineers to ensure stable and efficient delivery of virtual applications and desktops.

What will you be responsible for?

  • Monitor and maintain Citrix DaaS environments, ensuring optimal uptime and performance.
  • Assist in troubleshooting user session issues, application launches, and access failures.
  • Support OS-level and profile-related issues (Citrix UPM, FSLogix, or basic Windows profiles).
  • Perform health checks on Citrix infrastructure components and report deviations to senior engineers.
  • Assist in image management activities using Citrix MCS under supervision.
  • Execute basic tasks related to Active Directory, GPOs, and DNS as part of Citrix operations.
  • Support configuration and policy updates within Citrix Studio or Citrix Cloud.
  • Collaborate with senior team members on incident resolution, change implementation, and routine maintenance.
  • Document operational tasks, updates, and troubleshooting steps in SOPs and runbooks.
  • Participate in scheduled maintenance windows and provide after-hours support as required.

Who are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent diploma/experience).
  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience in Citrix or virtual desktop operations (Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix Cloud, or Azure Virtual Desktop).
  • Basic understanding of:
    • Citrix DaaS / Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
    • Microsoft Windows OS and user profile management
    • Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policies (GPOs)
  • Exposure to FSLogix, UPM, or Citrix profile solutions.
  • Awareness of Citrix Monitor for session and server health monitoring.
  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting is preferred (for automation or reporting).
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical mindset, with willingness to learn from senior team members.
  • Good documentation habits and attention to detail.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to Citrix WEM (Workspace Environment Management) for user experience optimization.
  • Understanding of Azure or VMware integrations with Citrix.
  • Interest in learning automation tools and developing PowerShell skills
