The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of network infrastructure, demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, and take ownership of maintaining and optimizing WAN/LAN environments, Cisco network devices, Cisco SDA (Software-Defined Access), and Palo Alto firewalls. This role will focus on providing advanced support and ensuring the seamless operation of enterprise-level networks. Key Responsibilities: Network Operations & Troubleshooting: Monitor and troubleshoot WAN/LAN infrastructure for performance and reliability. Diagnose and resolve network-related issues, including routing, switching, and connectivity challenges. Escalate unresolved issues to L3 engineers or vendors, as needed. Configuration & Deployment: Configure and maintain Cisco routers and switches for enterprise networks. Implement and manage Cisco SDA policies, including segmentation and endpoint onboarding. Manage and configure Palo Alto firewalls , including security policies, NAT, and VPNs. Performance Optimization: Optimize network configurations to ensure high availability and performance. Perform periodic audits of network devices and provide recommendations for improvements. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of network designs, configurations, and troubleshooting steps. Provide regular reports on network health, performance, and incident resolution. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to support network integration projects. Assist in implementing new technologies and upgrading existing infrastructure. Technical Skills & Competencies: WAN/LAN Expertise: Advanced knowledge of Wide Area Networks (WAN) and Local Area Networks (LAN) architecture and protocols. Experience troubleshooting connectivity issues and optimizing network performance. Cisco Networking: Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco routers and switches . Experience with VLANs, STP, trunking, and Layer 2/Layer 3 switching. Familiarity with Cisco SDA (Software-Defined Access) operations and policies. Firewall Management: Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls , including rule management, traffic inspection, and threat prevention. Knowledge of VPN setup and troubleshooting. Protocols & Tools: Deep understanding of networking protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and MPLS. Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark). Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Industry certifications such as CCNP , Cisco SDA , PCNSA/PCNSE (Palo Alto), or similar are highly preferred. Proven experience in network infrastructure support, with a minimum of 5 to 8 years in an L3 role or equivalent.
