Job Description

Prepare test solutions, compounds, and reagents for laboratory personnel to conduct test
Analyze organic and inorganic compounds to determine chemical and physical properties, composition, structure, relationships, and reactions, utilizing chromatography, spectroscopy, and spectrophotometry techniques
Develop, improve, and customize products, equipment, formulas, processes, and analytical methods
Work on model area development as per 5S- organize the work space for efficiency and effectiveness by identifying and storing the items used, maintaining the area and items, and sustaining the new order
Compile and analyze test information to determine process or equipment operating efficiency and to diagnose malfunctions3
Ensure the equipment log is timely filled and regularly update the day to day activity tracker
Confer with scientists and engineers to conduct analyses of research projects, interpret test results, or develop nonstandard test
Direct, coordinate, and advise personnel in test procedures for analyzing components and physical properties of materials
Induce changes in composition of substances by introducing heat, light, energy, and chemical catalysts for quantitative and qualitative analysis
Write technical papers and reports; and prepare standards and specifications for processes, facilities, products, and4 tests
Ensure that materials are labeled properly and used in right quantities; maintain sufficient stock of chemicals and supplies to perform lab experiments
Suggest improvements for test procedures to achieve project objectives and work towards development of standard procedures to improve quality and efficiency
Ensure health and safety standards are adhered to while performing the tests and ensure that the necessary safety equipment is used during chemical procedures
Take initiatives to drive growth for DCBL and ensure sustained growth in line with long-term and short-term objectives of the organization5
Ensure initiation and sensitization of the employees towards digitization and automation of the processes
Focus on utilization of advanced business analytics tools to derive key insights critical for the success of the organization
Review and monitor performance of team members and provide requisite developmental support/ inputs
Recommend training as required for teams development
Develop the team and update their knowledge base to cater the organization need
Strategize avenues for enhancing employee satisfaction in the function, resulting in high engagement levels of employees6
