Job Description

Job Title: Civil Engineer
Experience: 0-3 years
Location: Dahej
Company: waste / hazardous waste treatment, TSDF, ETP/STP, landfill works.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, design, and execution of civil works such as secured landfill lining systems, building structures, service roads, drainage, retaining walls, earthworks and other site civil infrastructure.
  • Ensure that civil works are executed per drawings, specifications, quality standards (ISO 14001 / OHSAS 18001), with safe & environmentally compliant methods. beil.co.in+1
  • Prepare & update daily/weekly progress reports of civil activities, monitor contractors, maintain site records and documentation.
  • Coordinate with project engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) teams, liaise with QA/QC, laboratory teams and environmental monitoring teams.
  • Review structural drawings, shop drawings, ensure alignment with field conditions, supervise layout & setting out of site works.
  • Conduct periodic site inspections for civil works, ensure material tests & quality checks are done, assist in non-conformance closure.
  • Support cost estimation, scheduling (bar charts), tracking progress against plan, identify delays and assist in mitigation.
  • Facilitate safety compliance & housekeeping on site; ensure the civil sub-contractors follow safety/environment guidelines.
  • Collaborate with operations & maintenance teams for hand-over of civil structures and utilities; follow up on defects-liability period.
  • Assist in preparation of bills, measurement sheets, and hand-over documentation for civil works.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (B.E/B.Tech) from a recognized university.
  • 0 to 3 years of hands-on experience in civil construction or infrastructure projects (landfill, building, industrial plants, ETP/STP, etc) is desirable.
  • Good knowledge of civil engineering fundamentals: structural design, concrete, reinforcement, geotechnical basics, drainage, earthworks.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project or similar scheduling tool, Excel for data‐tracking and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills (English & local language Gujarati preferred), ability to interact with site teams, contractors and stakeholders.
  • Self-driven, proactive, with attention to detail, able to work independently on site and as part of a project team.
  • Willingness to travel to site frequently and stay at site as required.
  • Knowledge or interest in environmental infrastructure or waste‐management projects is a plus (given company’s domain).
  • Valid driving license and readiness to travel within project sites.
