Role Summary:

The Chef will be responsible for planning and creating menus, preparing, and delivering high-quality meals and personalized dining experiences at Manmatha. This includes managing the kitchen, supervising kitchen helpers, overseeing room service, and ensuring guests experience luxury-level culinary service that aligns with the property’s eco-conscious philosophy.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute menus based on seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, with a focus on sustainability and fine dining presentation.
  • Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, and light meals for in-room dining and outdoor dining setups.
  • Oversee and manage room service operations, ensuring fast, and premium service.
  • Coordinate with management to design special dining experiences (barbeques, themed dinners, brunches and wellness-oriented menus).
  • Supervise, train, and guide kitchen assistants or service staff (depending on operational needs)
  • Ensure food safety, kitchen hygiene, and compliance with all health standards.
  • Monitor kitchen inventory, manage vendor relationships, and strictly control food costs.
  • Work closely with the Property Manager to integrate dining with the overall guest experience.


Requirements:

  • Service minded with a passion for cooking and hospitality.
  • Proven experience as a Chef or demonstrated training as a Chef (freshers with strong culinary education are recommended to apply).
  • Strong knowledge of Indian and international cuisines to cater to both foreign and local guests.
  • Commitment to sustainability and use of local, seasonal ingredients.
  • Good organizational skills and willingness to multitask.
  • Ability to handle a small but demanding setup.
  • Ability to deliver high-end plating, presentation, and personalized menus.
  • Understanding of luxury guest expectations.
  • Hold a valid driving licence.


Qualifications:

  • Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized institute (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Chef or demonstrated training as a Chef.
  • Chefs fresh out of culinary schools are welcome to apply.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene certifications (highly preferred).
  • Ability to take independent decisions in the kitchen, ensuring smooth service and guest satisfaction without constant supervision.
