Job Description

Financial Accounting: Prepare working files supporting the firm’s day to day accounting activities, including financial reports, statutory filings, variance analysis etc., and ensure proper maintenance of accounting systems and records;

Financial Reporting: Support audit coordination and ensure timely, accurate and useful financial and management reporting to external stakeholders and the Board;

Taxation: Actively participate in and support the preparation (computation), and filing of the firm’s direct and indirect taxes across multiple jurisdictions;

Treasury: Assist in preparation of working files related to cash, investment, and management of firm assets;

Team: Be a team player—collaborate effectively, communicate openly, and contribute positively to group goals;

Communication: Draft routine and non-routine business correspondence.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

The Associate, Finance will be a dynamic professional with about 2-4 years of post-qualification experience,ideally in finance or audit. The candidate and her/his family must be comfortable and happy to be living and working in Chennai.

 Undergraduate degree in Commerce or Engineering; and Qualified CA or CPA. Experience in US GAAP/IFRS and/or prior experience in investment fund accounting is a plus.

 Identifying complex problems and breaking them down into simple achievable components by reviewing information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions;

 Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.

Detail Orientation and Monitoring

 Paying attention to detail and appreciating nuance; and

 Monitoring and assessing performance to make improvements or take corrective action.

Perceptiveness, Persuasion, Negotiation, Talent Management and Communication Skills

 Being aware of others’ reactions and understanding why they react as they do;

 Being able to speak and write to people to convey information in English effectively is a must!
